Demo #2: Finally
Took Me Long Enough
A little under a week after I said I would upload it, Demo #2 is being made available immediately after this post is... uh... posted. There are absolutely a few bugs in it (that'll happen after adding a bunch of features in a rush), but it probably won't crash your computer, and it probably won't disassemble itself in front of you. No promises.
In the demo, I tweaked the existing area in the level and added a couple of new ones. The new areas won't let you progress until you've defeated all of the kobolds in your wake, but that shouldn't be a problem considering how ridiculously powerful Clef's attacks are at the moment. I'll do some balancing later, but this overpowered version of Clef is really fun to mess around with, in my opinion. He'll start with the fireball spell right from the get go, which is why he is colored red. You can press right click to cast it if you have enough mana. I actually ended up going with a different way to display mana than the pearl I displayed before; this one is easier to see and is more intuitive. Also, all of the directional attacks are also implemented (except for the charged downwards one). I'll go ahead and let you see how they work for yourself.
I'll be taking a break from development/progress logs for the next couple of weeks to do a game jam. I love working on Enchanterland, but I think I would go mad if it was the only thing I ever worked on outside of college. When I do come back, I'll patch everything up, add some features, and hopefully release a third demo before the summer ends. Until then, adios.
